"whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God" (1 Cor. 10:31)
Philip was born in February 25th of 1980 and gave himself to the Lord in 1998. He graduated with B.Th from Biblical School of Theology in 2001 and with B.D in 2002 from Bharat Bible College in India and He finished another course and was given M.th from Anchor Theological Seminary in the year 2007.
Having responded to the Lord's call, he began to serve the Lord as a missionary-pastor in Shan State since 2002. The Lord began to use him to build His churches. New Bethel Baptist Church was established in February, 2003. Between 2003-2005, he taught at different Bible colleges in Yangon as a visiting Bible teacher. And in October 2006, the Lord called and led him to start a house church which is named Yangon Grace Bible Fellowship. Since 2006 the Lord used this small fellowship to start other GBF Churches in six different villages in Southern Chin State in Myanmar. And in June of 2008, the Lord used Philip and his small house church to start Yangon Grace Bible School in the capital city of Myanmar.
Philip married to a lovely wife by the name of Dante who is one of the graduates of Grace Theological College in Yangon. They have a son, Daniel Tin Aung and other adopted children. Together with their children, they live in Yangon and serve the Lord as pastor of Yangon Grace Bible Fellowship (YGBF has 9 native missionaries) and as director of Yangon Grace Bible School.
Word from Philip
We are native missionaries dedicated to reaching the least reached and the unreached people groups who live in far villages. Our desire is to reach these people with the redeeming Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our prayer and commitment to the Lord is that we would bring to them the pure Gospel of Jesus and plant churches as we make disciples through the proclaiming and teaching of the word of God.
We are convinced that there is no greater need than to serve and equip todays leaders who have been called by God to plant churches in their own perspective location. There is no greater joy in life than a life captured by the joy of loving God and serving others.
Philip's greatest desire and passion is to glorify God by serving today's leaders and equipping leaders for tomorrow and for the work of church planting today and tomorrow. He can be reached at [email protected]
