Yangon Grace Bible School
know - commit - serve
The Lord gave me (Philip) this vision to start Bible school back in 2002. Its been for six years that I have been praying for this school knowing not where and when and how the Lord would make it a reality. However, the Lord, who is always faithful, brought Roger on our way to help us.
So, the birth of Yangon Grace Bible School took place as on the 7th of June 2008. The purpose of this school to equip believers in Myanmar so that they can reach their own community with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and with a solid teaching of the Bible and with a conviction.
"The glory of the Lord shall endure forever. May He rejoices in His works" (Psalm 104:31)

The academic year begin in June and end in February. From March to May is our vacation. March to May is when students are led by the teachers to various places in Myanmar to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We all excitedly follow Christ wherever He leads and join Him in the building of His churches.
What YGBS Is!
The Strategy: “We fulfill our goal or vision in life by passionately building up strong leaders who in turn will reach out to the 130 plus ethnic people groups in Myanmar.
The Mission: Our mission is only one thing, “to glorify God through the FULFILLMENT of the Great Commission” and as such we are practically and passionately equipping and raising young men and women who know their call and are passionate about preparing themselves for the work of ministry.
Our History: In 2002, the vision to start this school was given in a shower-room, about 10:30 pm, when Philip Van Lal Lian was earnestly asking God for His direction in life and in ministry. YGBS was then established on the 7th of June, 2008 in view of training, equipping and raising up strong leaders through whom God will build His church in Myanmar among the 130 plus ethnic groups. God brought 30 students in 2008. 45 students in 2009. 52 students in 2010 and 42 students in 2011 God brought 52 students in 2012.
The Uniqueness of YGBS: YGBS uses both English and Burmese, a common language of the country, as the medium of instruction because of the educational needs we face today in the world. Inductive Bible Students Methods are taught and applied in all of our teaching. YGBS always seeks to provide to students, both classroom teachings and active participation in short-term mission trips around the country. Students come from mostly remote and primitive areas of Myanmar and they represent the major nationals and small ethnic groups. YGBS is a teaching ministry . The cost of this teaching ministry comes from God's people who are passionate about reaching all people groups in Myanmar with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. YGBS serves as a springboard for AIMTODAY to reach out to the 130 plus ethnic people groups in Myanmar. YGBS is not an institution. It is more like a church. Students involve actively at church and in evangelism and in church planting.
