Bethel Village
The Lord led Philip to this village and its tribal people (LAHU) back in 2002. After series of preaching and teaching the word of God, the Lord eventually gathered them to stand together as a church early in february 2003. The Lord also led Philip to turn the leadership over to a young man by the name of Timothy and his wife Phoebe Na Soe. They are presently studying and preparing themselves at YGBS. They will be pastoring this church beginning from 2009. Please remember them in your prayer. It was in this village that the Lord equiped or prepared Philip for the present tasks that he is in charge.
GBF at Phaw Kan, Yangon
Samuel and his wife Mawite are the first missionaries sent by Grace Bible Fellowship in Yangon. They have also started Grace Bible Fellowship at Phaw Kan and they have started "YANGON GRACE PRE-SCHOOL" with 8 children. Their prayerful goal in starting this nursery school is to plant the seed of God's word in the live of children and to bring these buddhish children under the principles of Christianity and the word of God. Please do continue to pray for this family.
GBF at Ouh Sin Ki Village
The Lord led Philip to make a mission trip to this area back in June 2007. It took 2 days and night on Bus, two days on Boat and two treking on foot to reach the village. He was able to teach and study the word of God with these group of peoples (KHUM MI).The word of God so powerfully blest that the people could not help but wanted to receive baptism. So, Philip and the believers went to a small river and they received baptism by immersion and stood together as a church in the month of June 2007. The Lord blest this small newly established church to reproduce another three churches in its own area. Truly, this is an Antioch-type church that we have been praying to see. This small felloship is pastored by Pastor Kal Lai who was baptized by Philip in June 2007.
GBF at Pai Village
This Grace Bible Fellowship at Pai Village was reproduced by GBF in Ouh Sin Ki village in 2007. We made a trip to this village last year 2007 in April. This small church is being pastored by Pastor Min Bawi.Their prayer and vision is to reproduce its kind to the sorrounding area.
GBF at Sen Thang Village
Again this is another small church which was reproduced by GBF in Ouh Sin Ki. Grace Bible Fellowship in Yangon was able to visit this small village. This small church is pastored by Pastor Paung Than and this church is going to be the main host of the upcoming "PREACH THE WORD" CONFERENCE which will be done in December 2008.
GBF at Aa Ki Kung Village
This is another small church that joined GBF in 2008 as the churches in this area went out for making discipleship by preaching and teaching the word of God. This small church is pastored by Pastor Pan Thein.
GBF at Kachin State
Missionaries Samuel Ma Hum and Robert were sent last year by Grace Bible Fellowship in Yangon. And together they started house fellowship with six children that they made a commitment to take care of. We have also been informed that they want to host our "PREACH THE WORD" CONFERENCE in their place in August.
GBF at Kyauk Taw
Pastor John Lai Be was sent early in 2007 by GBFY and has been serving the Lord with us since. Having seen the need to help the children with education, the church in Yangon recommend it to Understand The Times and by the Lord's grace UTT now help sthem establish Bryce Lodge Five. They are now gathering as a house church. They are presently locating in Kyauk Taw in Rakhine State. Rakhin State has its unique different buddhism and about 98 are Buddhist. Our prayer is that they will be shining forth as a light in darkness.
Grace Bible Fellowship at LUK PE village
This church was established in September 2008 under the ministry of missionary Andrew Thang Lin Om who has been sent by Yangon Grace Bible Fellowship early in 2007. He works in a village called LUK Pe and half of the people are still animists. But this little church that the Lord has started through his preaching and teaching, now stands as a lighthouse in the midst of the spiritually blinded animists (nature worshippers).
Baptism at Ouh Sin Ki Village
Philip and the new believers went to a small river. And on their way to this small river, there were so many leachs that sucked our blood. But it was also a day that we will never forget. The Lord was so good. We used banana's leaf to have enough water and there they receieved baptism by immersion upon their profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and as their public testimony to the world and church.
